The 2-Stroke World Championship at Glen Helen Raceway draws in thousands of two-stroke fanatics for a race unlike anything else in the country. It’s a tribute to our past and a revival of the golden era. From the 1970s through the late ’90s, the sound, spirit, and riding style of 2-strokes defined an entire generation of moto culture. This year, we called up DD (Darryn Durham) and asked if he wanted to throw his leg over a two-stroke and go racing. With zero hesitation, Darryn called out of his day job and was on the next flight to Los Angeles.

For many, the 2-Stroke World Championship is one of those races that you don’t want to miss. Our pit at this year’s race was filled with people just excited to be there, do some racing, and enjoy the culture. Patrick Evans took some time off from free riding and reminded us of how much style he has on the bike while racing. Josh Mosiman showed us the result of hard work and determination by winning the overall in Pasha’s 125 class after attempting it for years. And Darryn Durham rode with a smile all day, finishing in the top 10 overall, and setting the tone for what it means to ride for the love of it.

Throughout the day, our camp was packed with spectators and racers digging the scene. We had a tattoo parlor set up right next to the bar top, and there was a line of people waiting to get inked up late into the evening. The beer was flowing, and there was plenty of shit talking and joking around with good friends. We love these moments most after the racing is over and the dust settles—big thanks to our crew for showing up for the good times.
We look forward to doing it all over again next year!
